Tulane University’s Center for Public Service and the International Association for Research on Service-learning and Community Engagement hosted the Eighth International Research Conference on Service-learning and Community Engagement October 25-28, 2009, at the Marriott Hotel at the Convention Center in New Orleans, LA.  The theme of the conference was The Scholarship of Engagement: Dimensions of Reciprocal Partnerships.
