Tara has almost 20 years of experience in the nonprofit sector.  She has worked as a member of the development teams of Southeastern Louisiana University and Tulane University, and as a staff member of the Center for Nonprofit Resources.  As a development professional, she has worked in corporate and foundation relations, annual giving and development research.  Tara has served as president of the board of directors of Travelers Aid Society and is currently on the board of the Junior League of New Orleans and Start the Adventure in Reading, a local youth literacy program.  She developed and served for two years as chair of the Junior League’s Get on Board program, a nonprofit board training program.  She is a past member of the board of the Association of Professional Researchers for Advancement-Southwest and a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.  Tara also volunteers her time at the Louise S. McGehee School, where her children are students.

Tara is a native New Orleanian and is a graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University.
