Tara has over 25 years of experience in the nonprofit sector. She has worked as a member of the development teams of Southeastern Louisiana University and Tulane University, and as a staff member of the Center for Nonprofit Resources. As a development professional, she has worked in corporate and foundation relations, annual giving and development research. Tara has served as president of the board of directors of Travelers Aid Society, and on the boards of the Junior League of New Orleans, the American Red Cross, and Start the Adventure in Reading, a local youth literacy program. She developed and led the Junior League’s Get on Board program, a nonprofit board training program that has been recognized nationally for its community impact. She is a past member of the board of the Association of Professional Researchers for Advancement-Southwest and a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. Tara also volunteers her time on the executive board of the Parents Association of Metairie Park Country Day School and has served on various charity event committees for organizations such as Children’s Hospital, the Preservation Resource Center, and the Louisiana Children’s Museum.
Tara is a native New Orleanian and is has a B.A degree in Government from Southeastern Louisiana University and a M.S. degree in Nonprofit Administration from Louisiana State University Shreveport.
