The International Association for Research on Service-Learning and Community Engagement (IARSLCE) is soliciting applications for 2012/2013 Conference Proceedings Editorial Fellows. The Conference Proceedings Editorial Fellows (EFs) co-create and publish the new online IARSLCE Annual Conference Proceedings. The Proceedings is a collaboration of the IARSLCE Publications Committee and the Graduate Student Network.

Please see call for application for more details.

UPDATE:

The International Association for Research on Service-Learning and Community Engagement (IARSLCE) has extended the deadline of the Call for Applications for the 2012/2013 Conference Proceedings Editorial Fellows. The new deadline is Feb. 14.

The Editorial Fellows (EF) program is in its second year and is a professional development opportunity for graduate students interested in community engagement. The project is one of co-creating the IARSLCE Conference Proceedings, and it is grounded in a deep commitment to creating a process that is educational; this includes practicing shared decision-making, effectively and appropriately communicating with an international group of colleagues, exploring the multiple roles and responsibilities within editing projects, as well as encouraging and supporting learning outcomes identified by each individual EF. Please see the attachment for further information.

If you work closely with graduate students, we ask that you distribute this call to them. The program grows stronger by bringing together individuals from a diversity of disciplines and experiences, so a networked-based distribution helps extend this opportunity to individuals we might not otherwise reach. We are grateful for your support in furthering graduate student education and professional development. Any questions about this opportunity can be directed to Barbara Harrison (barbara.a.harrison@gmail.com) and Kathleen Edwards (keedwar2@uncg.edu).
