Call for Proposals – 2010 International Association for Research on Service-learning and Community Engagement Annual Conference
The featured theme for this 10th annual conference is “International Perspectives:  Crossing Boundaries through Research.”  Service-learning is valued as an active learning strategy across the globe; however, little is known about the ways that service-learning is similar or different in varied contexts. Understanding service-learning and community engagement from diverse cultural perspectives will add insight necessary for comparative research and to improve practice.  Proposals will be accepted beginning Monday, January 15, 2010. Call for Papers - Volume Ten: Advances in Service-Learning Research
Presenters at the IARSLCE 2009 conference are eligible to submit a paper for inclusion in the peer-reviewed conference  publication, Volume Ten of the Advances in Service-Learning Research series. Submission deadline extended to February 15, 2010. Click here for more information.

The Graduate Student Network (GSN) is for graduate students who are interested in advancing research on service-learning and community engagement. The GSN is an affiliate group of IARSLCE and provides a graduate-student only listserv, mentoring opportunities, and research advancement and professional development workshops at the annual IARSLCE conference (Oct. 9-12, 2009, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada).
